Recommended and mandatory items on diving trips


  • Be at least open water SCUBA certified
  • Recent dive experience or must hire a divemaster.  (divemaster can be hired for $25 per trip)
  • Certification Card
  • Serviceable regulator with pressure gauge.
  • Serviceable Buoyancy compensator
  • Mask and fins
  • Computer or bottom timer (watch)
  • Dive tables for the gas being consumed, if not diving on computer
  • Documentation of gas blend percentages if diving blended gases.  (shop tape or sticker on tank showing blend)
  • Safety Sausage (inflatable signal tube)
  • Dive knife (Destin has a large fleet of fishing boats, you may encounter abandoned fishing line)


  • Snorkel to prevent air consumption at the surface
  • Sunscreen (no aerosol)
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Clothing that matches weather reports
  • Appropriate wetsuit
  • Bathing suit
  • Snacks
  • Drinks (water provided)
  • Towels
  • Dry Clothes
  • Save a dive kit
  • Camera
  • Collection bag for  shells and lobster
  • Lionfish Eradication kit
  • Cooler on standby in vehicle
  • Dive bag (not rubbermaid tote) to keep your equipment organized
  • Logbook
  • Diving stories



What an amazing day! First ever deep sea fishing for my husband and I. The captain and his first mate took care of us from baiting hooks, to showing us the different fish, to cleaning and bagging our catch! He kept us on fish all day! Highly recommend them! Thanks again!
